Durante los \u00faltimos 10 meses, Limas ha administrado Las Ramblas, un bar ubicado entre East 11th Street y Washington en el centro de Brownsville. Su establecimiento se encuentra en una zona que normalmente est\u00e1 llena de gente. Sin embargo, debido a las recomendaciones de distanciamiento social, ahora no es as\u00ed. El bar permanecer\u00e1 cerrado hasta finales de mes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviamente, dependemos de las ventas. Justo al final de la calle se encuentra Main Street Deli, un restaurante que sigue funcionando con normalidad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEstamos viendo menos gente en la calle y a\u00fan menos gente viniendo a comer aqu\u00ed\u201d, dijo H\u00e9ctor Zavala, due\u00f1o del restaurante, mientras atend\u00eda los pedidos de los clientes. Si bien muchos negocios pueden estar enfrentando desaf\u00edos similares, existen recursos para ayudarlos a sobrevivir. \u201cLos pr\u00e9stamos para desastres de la SBA, que tambi\u00e9n son pr\u00e9stamos con intereses muy bajos, se otorgan a las empresas para que puedan mantenerse durante estos meses\u201d, explic\u00f3 Nathan Burkhart, Director de Marketing y Desarrollo de Peque\u00f1as Empresas de Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation.<\/p>\n<p>Afirma que esos pr\u00e9stamos pueden ser de hasta 1,16 y 2 millones de d\u00f3lares, pero que no es la \u00fanica ayuda disponible. For the last 10 months, Limas has run Las Ramblas \u2013 a bar located between East 11th Street and Washington in the Downtown district in Brownsville. His establishment is located in an area that\u2019s normally bustling with people. However, with the social distancing recommendations, it\u2019s not like that now. The bar is closing until the end of the month.  \u201cObviously, we depend on sales. With no sales coming in we still have a tremendous amount of expenses to keep the operation up and running,\u201d added Limas. \u201cWe may be closed for another six weeks. We don\u2019t want that to happen. at the end of the day, the health of the community and our staff is what\u2019s paramount.\u201d Just down the street is Main Street Deli, a restaurant that continues to operate as normal.  \u201cWe\u2019re seeing less people on the street and even less coming here to eat,\u201d said Hector Zavala, owner of the restaurant in Spanish as helped with orders from customers coming in. While many businesses may be facing similar challenges there are resources to help these businesses survive. \u201cSBA disaster loans which are also very low interests loans. Which is provided to businesses to sustain themselves during these months,\u201d explained Nathan Burkhart, Director of Marketing &amp; Small Business Development for the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation.  He says those loans can be for up to $2 million but that\u2019s not the only aid available. There\u2019s also disaster unemployment assistance and grant programs, among others.
