Brownsville, Texas<\/strong> \u2014 The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) is pleased to announce an upcoming bilingual information session titled \u201cLet\u2019s Talk About Money for Your Small Business,\u201d designed to educate local entrepreneurs on the financing options available through BCIC\u2019s programs. The session will take place at the eBridge Center on Thursday, October 17<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event will be divided into two segments to accommodate both English and Spanish speakers. From 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM<\/strong>, the presentation will be conducted in English, followed by a Spanish presentation from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM<\/strong>. The event will be led by BCIC\u2019s Chief Operating Officer, Victoria Padron<\/strong>, who will provide insights into two key financing programs: the Recovery Fund<\/strong> and the eBridge Fund<\/strong>. Both programs aim to provide accessible financial relief and funding for businesses at various stages, from startups to established businesses looking to expand.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough these programs, we aim to provide small businesses with the financial support they need at every stage of their journey. The Recovery Fund offers crucial relief to businesses impacted by the pandemic, while the eBridge Fund provides flexible financing options for those looking to grow, expand, or relocate.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

El Recovery Fund<\/strong> is one of the last remaining COVID-19 relief programs still available for small businesses, offering 0% forgivable loans of up to $20,000. Businesses that received earlier assistance through programs like PPP are still eligible to apply for the Recovery Fund. This program is designed to help businesses retain employees and recover from revenue losses caused by the pandemic, providing much-needed support during the ongoing recovery process.<\/p>\n

El eBridge Fund<\/strong> is a revolving loan program available to businesses in Cameron County. It offers loans from $15,000 to $50,000 with interest rates as low as 6.35% and up to 15 years to pay \u2013 depending on the purpose of the loan. This fund is designed for businesses that cannot secure traditional bank financing or seek more competitive rates. It can be used for working capital, real estate, machinery, and equipment, providing flexible financial support for businesses looking to scale up, relocate, or create jobs in the community.<\/p>\n

The session will cover the application process, eligibility criteria, and the advantages of each financing option. BCIC staff will be available to answer questions and offer guidance on the next steps. Attendees who RSVP will also enjoy a complimentary lunch during the event, providing an excellent opportunity to network with fellow entrepreneurs in a relaxed setting.<\/p>\n
