FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<\/strong> BROWNSVILLE, Texas<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Texas Coastal Bend Chapter will host \u201cReimagining Event Sponsorship: A New Approach for Fundraisers\u201d on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the eBridge Center for Business & Commercialization.<\/p>\n The Lunch & Learn will help nonprofit professionals develop event sponsorships that connect a sponsor\u2019s goals with an organization\u2019s mission and measurable community impact.<\/p>\n The session will feature\u00a0Amy Canterbury<\/strong>, Development Director for the\u00a0American Heart Association Heart Ball<\/strong>. Canterbury will share practical approaches organizations can use to create stronger sponsorship packages, demonstrate value to potential partners, and build relationships that continue beyond the event.<\/p>\n Participants will learn how to:<\/p>\n Design sponsorship opportunities around mission, outcomes, and community impact<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Use impact reporting, volunteer ambassadors, and professional networks to secure support<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Evaluate sponsorship performance and clearly communicate results to sponsors<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The program is intended for\u00a0nonprofit professionals, development staff, organizational leaders, board members, volunteers, and others<\/strong>\u00a0involved in fundraising or community partnerships.<\/p>\n Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees. Virtual attendance is also available, and the program has been approved for Certified Fund Raising Executive continuing education credit.<\/p>\n Registration is required. When registering, attendees should select the AFP Member price, even if they are not currently AFP members. BCIC will cover the member-rate registration cost.
