The Brownsville Small Business Recovery Fund is a 0% interest, forgivable loan program designed to support small businesses in Brownsville that experienced revenue loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Loan Amounts:
Up to $20,000 for businesses with up to 50 employees
Up to $10,000 for businesses with up to 5 employees (including owner) who are low- to moderate-income
Forgiveness: Loans are designed to be easily forgiven, providing quick financial relief.
Program Funding: Limited funds are available; the BCIC Board of Directors considers applications based on availability.

To be eligible for the Brownsville Small Business Recovery Fund, your business must:
Be a for-profit business located within the City of Brownsville.
Demonstrate a revenue loss of 15% or more due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Employ low- to moderate-income individuals.
Not have received assistance from Round 1 or Round 2 of the Brownsville ReOpen for Business Assistance Program.

Step Two: Once your application is complete, you’ll receive a notification. Applications will be reviewed for eligibility. If demand exceeds available funds, a lottery system may be used to select recipients.
