RGV Startup Week, the Rio Grande Valley’s premier celebration of entrepreneurship and innovation, has announced Ramón Soler Mallet, Commercial Director of Dr. Simi USA, as the keynote speaker for its 2026 event.
Soler Mallet will headline the event on Monday, April 27, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the eBridge Center in Brownsville. His keynote address will be free and open to the public.
With more than 25 years of experience leading globally recognized brands, Soler Mallet brings unique insight into brand growth and market expansion. As a key leader behind the U.S. expansion of the widely popular Mexican pharmacy brand Dr. Simi, he has played a central role in one of the most talked-about brand launches on social media in recent years. His keynote is expected to offer valuable perspectives for entrepreneurs, business leaders, and innovators across the region.
Now in its third year, RGV Startup Week will take place from April 24 through May 1, 2026. Headquartered in Brownsville, the week-long event will feature programming across multiple partner cities throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
The event brings together students, early-stage entrepreneurs, established companies, investors, and ecosystem partners through a dynamic lineup of keynote presentations, workshops, pitch competitions, and community events.
Following a highly successful 2025 edition—which attracted 1,850 registrants, 168 speakers, and 95 sessions, and generated over 3.5 million content views—the 2026 event is poised to be the largest and most impactful yet.
