eBridge Center for Business and Commercialization

The eBridge Center for Business & Commercialization in Brownsville is the largest entrepreneurial resource hub in the RGV. It is designed to support local entrepreneurs and startups. Since opening on March 9, 2023, the center has launched over 80 companies in partnership with BCIC, UTRGV, TMAC, and Texas A&M, among many other key partners. The eBridge Center offers comprehensive resources, including business incubation programs, access to funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities, all aimed at transforming innovative ideas into successful enterprises. Located at 1304 E Adams St, the center is a hub for economic development and innovation in the Rio Grande Valley.

StartUp Texas Accelerator Program

The StartUp Texas Accelerator Program in Brownsville is a competitive, intensive, 10 to 15-week initiative to support high-growth startups in the Rio Grande Valley. It offers specialized workshops, mentorship, and pitch practices, culminating in a public Demo Day event where participants present their businesses to the community and judges. The program leverages the AdvanceUp Accelerator Curriculum from UTRGV and collaborates with local business leaders to create a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem. This program is ideal for entrepreneurs looking to scale their businesses and gain valuable exposure and networking opportunities.

The Blueprint Business Program

The Blueprint Business Program is sponsored by Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) and administered by the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center (UTRGV ECC.) It is designed to support local entrepreneurs and small businesses. This 2-3 month long program offers a range of lessons, including business planning, financial assistance, and mentorship. It aims to help businesses at various stages of development, from startups to established enterprises looking to expand. The program provides resources such as workshops, one-on-one coaching, and access to a network of experienced business professionals. By fostering a supportive environment, the Blueprint Business Program helps entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of starting and growing a business in Brownsville.

Frontera Leadership Institute

The Frontera Leadership Institute is a transformative three-month leadership and entrepreneurial program sponsored by the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) and administered by LMNTS. It is designed to empower first-generation college students with essential skills in technology, product management, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Participants engage in a hybrid schedule of in-person and online classes and work in collaborative teams on innovative projects. The program emphasizes heart-centered leadership and trauma-informed practices, aiming to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
